Welcome to theMilitary Betrayed Website(Reagan's Betrayal of the Military)USFSPA Horror Stories from Retired Members of the U.S. Armed Forces |
|
Read the horror stories of retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces who were unfairly, and in some cases, inhumanely affected by the Uniformed Services Former Spousal Protection Act (USFSPA).
Read about the retired Marine's ex-wife who killed her second husband (a Virginia State Trooper), was sent to prison, and then several years later was awarded part of the Marine's retired pay.
Read about the Army officer who may be required to split his assets, including his military retired pay, with his ex-wife although she is in prison for murdering their children.
In the near future you will read stories of disabled military retirees who served time in jail or prison because they couldn't pay their ex-wives (who had remarried) any of their retired pay.
The USFSPA was sponsored by Rep. Patricia Schroeder from Colorado and signed by President Ronald Reagan in the early 1980s. Schroeder offered, and Reagan traded the rights of retired U.S. military men and women for his desired 3-pronged Cruise Missile Program (Air, Ground, & Sea).
Neither Reagan nor Schroeder cared about the rights of former military members, and no one who has served in the U.S. Congress or the White House since has had the courage to correct the wrong that has been perpetrated upon the U.S. Military.
The site is under construction as of 12/8/2011, but stay tuned in...
